INSTRUCTORS

Martincsák István

Initially, I became acquainted with caving as an adventurous child, and as a result, we frequented various abandoned quarries to develop essential rope techniques. During this time, I noticed the world of climbing, where the first climbers were starting to appear. Observing them, I began to develop the idea that I wanted to engage in this activity as well.
I started climbing with immense enthusiasm at the age of 14. After exploring all of Hungary’s climbing routes, I spent increasing amounts of time on international terrain and made many good friends along the way. The proximity to nature, the complexity of movement, and the sense of achievement have committed me to the sport for life.
Within climbing, alpine, sport, and bouldering are the disciplines that are particularly close to me, though some high mountain peaks can also excite me (e.g., the Matterhorn).
In my twenties, there was a period when I spent around 300 days a year climbing, with the rest being forced rest days. Now, with two children of my own, I think about them more, which is why this climbing gym was created. I believe that children’s participation in sports is important for their physical, mental, and emotional development, and I am confident that the complexity of this sport will engage many children in the future.
Currently, I work on developing different age groups four days a week and also offer private training sessions at the gym.

Tomka Berci

I started climbing more than 10 years ago, which later became both my job and my calling. What I love about it is that everyone has to first contend with themselves, not with others. Additionally, there are endless opportunities for development. I am a former national team member and a podium finisher in competitions. For the past 4 years, I have been leading sessions for climbers at various levels, I am the head route setter at Monkey Boulder, and I work as a route setter across Europe. I always strive to bring out the best in myself and others.
